More Florida pictures!

(posted 1/13/12, but backdated to 12/29/11)

Here are the rest of the pictures from our trip...well, actually I have more from my cell phone, but I'll upload those later on.

Sunset from our balcony.

Our last full day after naps we decided to check out the splash pad at the park. We saw it the first day when it was chilly and it wasn't on, but looked like fun. We had it mostly to ourselves.

Hunter was brave running through it all

Why is it that ALL kids like to attempt to give themselves enemas? I see it ALL the time at the splash parks. I just don't get it, but then again, I probably did it too when I was this age. One day when Hunter is older I'll to put together a post of him doing this at all the different splash parks b/c I know I have at least five others like the one above.
Swimming with daddy in the pool....Most days while Jack would be napping one of us would nap with Jack and the other would take Hunter to the pool. He would get some one-on-one time and then come up to rest near the second half of Jack's nap. Then we'd go back to the beach or pool after Jack woke up. We don't do the co-sleeping thing, but I have to say taking a nap with Jack is the best...snuggling and watching him sleep--I love it!!! He would lay right on me and it was so sweet.

Jumping to daddy! Action shot :)

Jumping over and over and over (and over).

Practicing his swim skills that he learned over the summer. The pool water was so warm--it was great!

Jack had more fun playing on the edge of the pool with his toys. I made him go in a few times, but he was content filling his fish with water and squirting them.

One morning Hunter and Nick were still up in the room and Jack and I went down to the beach. He was going to get shells near the edge and bringing them back to me. He kept going back and forth and I was snapping pictures...he's just so cute!! So excited to come show me what shell was next.
See mommy...look what I have.
Cutie pie--check out those eyelashes! He's just so sweet!!!!!!! I can't even get over it!

Showing me another one...love that smile :)

We buried Nick and Hunter in the sand...I wrote Hunter's name with a stick once we were done
He was so funny...kept his eyes and mouth shut and laid perfectly still while we covered him up.
All done!

Daddy and Hunter
We actually buried Nick first to show Hunter that it was fun
Jack helped too...I had to put a towel over Nick's face for part of it b/c Jack kept trying to cover Nick's head.

Breaking out!

My two little guys sharing a snack at the beach.

It's so funny to me when he makes these scowling faces...he cracks me up .

Way too busy to stand still for a picture with mommy.

Should have put this with the other post of snowman sand guy, but oh well. Here are the boys proud of their project.

New Year's Eve. The night before we'd gone to the Marriot Hotel for dinner to watch the sunset at their outside restaurant. The kids were both restless and one thing we both can't stand is spending money to have a bad time. We were going to go out for New Year's Eve dinner, but at the last minute decided to get carry out. We got lots of ribs, bread, and coleslaw from this local place...it was yummy and the kids really enjoyed eating ribs. I made them get in their underwear (Nick did too, just to be funny, but I will not be posting those pictures)...Mom, I also covered your chairs with towels b/c I was super paranoid of staining her nice chairs!

This child has an obsession with ketchup. I put some in a bowl for him to dip his ribs into and he's licking it like a dog. He was doing it the night before at dinner. If I'd turn my back for one second he'd be down on his plate licking the ketchup like a dog. Too funny. YUCK.

Well, I think I'm mostly caught up for 2011 now, considering these are New Year's Eve pictures!! Maybe one more with cell phone FL pictures b/c I have some good ones...then I can order my blog book for 2011--yay!!

Florida Pictures...and a lot of them!

(Posted 1/12/12...backdated to 12/28/11)

We went to Florida December 27th-January 2nd...just the four of us. We stayed at my parent's condo on Marco Island. The flights went better than expected (still not fun), so that was good. We overall had a good time. Hunter's behavior was very frustrating at times, but we managed. A typical day began with breakfast at the condo, going to the beach around 8:30am for several hours, going up for lunch, Jack taking a nap, Hunter going to the pool, all of us at pool or beach before dinner, going out for dinner, and then hanging out at the condo before bedtime. I took several naps with Jack in the afternoon, which felt so good! Nick did the same a few days while I would take Hunter to the pool. Thanks mom and dad!!!!!!!!!!

The view from my parent's condo. They have a beautiful corner unit on the 21st floor...we can see the sunrise over the island and the sunset on the beach. I love it!!
Another sunrise... View from the balcony... Jack's first visit to the ocean. We've been to FL with him (March 2011), but it was for Disneyworld. Although, he did visit the beach on Marco Island when he was about 6 weeks old in my belly b/c I found out I was pregnant with him on Marco Island in early 2009. I doubt he remembers.

Making "mud soup" together for mommy and daddy First time checking out the ocean :)

Jack and I headed to the beach....probably at like 8:15am

Nick and I had fun helping them do fun things in the sand...my two silly boys

Making a snowman...people probably thought Nick was weird. The finished productDaddy and his boys...I love my handsome guys!

One thing that was so funny was the kids loving to chase the birds and seagulls. They would run screaming after them constantly. It was so funny to watch!!

Taking a break for a "toot bar" as we called them. Fiber One bars...if you've never had one, you would not belie the gas they give you. If you want to torture someone, buy some.

Taking a little break from the sand
The first two days were a little chilly, so we found a park...you can see we are in jeans and sweatshirts :( Thank goodness it was nice for the majority of the trip! Love this smile on Jack's face!

So stinkin' cute
They had lots of fun things to do at this park...and it was packed the first day we went there b/c I think every tourist with young kids was there! No beach and no pool, so gotta find a playground....and only one on the island.

Nick was doing impressions from Napoleon Dynamite...I have a funny video to post eventually.

Fire pole...or whatever you call it!
What a good sport :)

Lots more pictures to come...I can't wait to catch up on blogging!
