Christmat Day--Part 2

Christmas morning we got up early, opened a few things, and headed to 9am mass with my parents, Gigi, Jim, and Emily in Brighton. After church back to my parents house for the day...we hung out, opened gifts, ate lots of food, and came home for bed. It was a long day and lots of fun. The kids are way too spoiled!

Hunter opened his stocking from Santa...he got lots of fun toys!

Nick got a beer brewing kit--I didn't want to tote it back and forth to my parents, so he got to open it before we left.

I love that smile! Eating fruit at Nana and Grandpa's for breakfast.

Nick and I still had to open his gifts this year, but hopefully he can do more himself next year.
Nana with her grandboys...they got him a Black and Decker Junior took kit with workbench. It has drills, flashlights, level, and more...it has been lots of fun! He got so many other cool things too. We got a fun bike that hooks to the tv to play video games, books, puzzles, clothes, and tons more.

Santa brought Hunter this music thing...thank goodness it has headphones. Nick has had more fun with it than Hunter so far. It's pretty cool and you can make songs.
Both kids had fun climbing on presents and ripping things open.
Lots of toys!!
My mom said she cut her budget from last year and it was still TONS of presents! I don't think she can help herself by going totally overboard for the kids (and Nick and me), although, I'm not going to complain. I got a new vacuum, two pairs of boots, perfume, a northface jacket, and lots more.
Santa also brought Hunter some capes and costumes for dress up which has been fun.
Nick got a new tv for our bedroom from my parents. It was so funny b/c my mom pulled it out and put it about 5 feet away from Nick and obviously the box is huge. He didn't even notice it until we were all just laughing at him and told him to look around. It STILL took him a few minutes to see it. I thought the tv in our room was totally fine, but apparently it wasn't big enough for him. This was the only thing he wanted and I think he thought I was getting it for him, but they wanted to do this for him which was super nice. They also got him an ice cream maker and a few other things. My parents treat him better than me sometimes (haha) and I know he feels like their son which makes me so happy that they are so kind to him!

Hunter and Gigi working on some of his new puzzles
We wore my dad out! He is the "trash man" on Christmas, but Hunter was a lot of help this year. He said he wants to be a garbage man when he grows up, so I figure we can stop saving for his college now.

Funny story about church...at the end of mass Hunter made a friend and they were back outside of the actual pew area running around. They were being quiet so the other dad and I were letting them burn off some energy. Hunter was chasing this boy and the boy took a turn headed full speed down the center aisle towards the alter. The other boy made it totally to the front and I caught Hunter about half way down the aisle. We both got a major laugh and applause from everyone in the church, and the priest made a funny comment about it too. It was so embarrassing, but funny at the same time. Those boys were fast and I was just so glad it wasn't Hunter who made it all the way to the front! We certainly made the last minute of mass entertaining for everyone. I'm sure my face was bright red.

Christmas Eve Pictures--Part 1

There are "3 parts" of the Christmas pictures, so here are pictures from Christmas Eve :) We went over to the Couchman's for dinner (my aunt and uncle's house). We had a lot of fun visiting, eating a yummy dinner, playing games, and opening gifts. It's just so much fun to have little kids around for the holidays!! Next year I can't imagine the chaos with Jack, Hunter and Tyler all running around like crazy boys!

All three kids had on cute sweater vest outfits :)

Me, Hunter, and Connie. Hunter had been eating these black mint cookies so his face looks yucky! I decided not to freak out about him snacking, but it definitely back-fired when it came to dinner time b/c he was totally full and didn't want to eat a thing. I just didn't want to battle with him when there was food out all over. Oh well...nothing wrong with cookies, cheese, and sausage for dinner once a year!

Connie, Joey, Heather, and Baby Tyler. Last year on Christmas Eve we found out Heather was pregnant (we weren't supposed to, but Joey can't keep a secret to save his life). It's hard to believe they have a 4 month old now! They are pretty lucky to have Aunt Connie b/c she is super helpful with Tyler. Aunt Emily and Baby Jack Trying to get a picture of the cousins...not working too well. Jack always looks at Tyler like "Who are you and what are you??" He scowls at him and I think it's so funny.

Hunter got lots of fun gifts from the Couchman's. Some new markers, dinosaurs for the bathtub, games, and much more! He is a lucky boy!
Joe & Heather got this tent for Hunter and we set it up in the living room the next day. It's been up ever since and the boys are having a blast playing in it. Jack will crawl halfway down the tunnel and then turn around and come back...it makes Hunter so mad.

Our cutie pie looking disturbed at this Santa thing singing on a rocking chair at the Couchman's.

Earlier we baked cookies for Santa...Hunter helped a little :) Daddy & Hunter...we had some fun family time with four days off in a row together! Hunter's bottom lip has been SO chapped for over a week. I thought it would ruin our Christmas pictures...I've been using so much lotion and chapstick, but he wipes it off just to make me mad!

Jack's lunch with Mommy & Daddy...and mismatched shoes!

Yesterday our nanny took Hunter to the Hands on Museum before nap time. Nick took the day off work, so he and Jack came to take me to lunch. We ended up at Max & Erma's...We wanted to go to this hole in the wall place, but it was closed until January 3rd (I think I saw a tear in Nick's eye once he realized they were closed). I noticed once we were in the restaurant Jack had two different shoes on and then on the right foot was a left foot shoe! That is what happens when daddy's dress their kids :) I thought it was funny because this might have been the second time ever that Nick has taken Jack out of the house alone and he couldn't even put two of the same shoes on. We had a really nice time at lunch and it was actually so easy and relaxing without our crazy three-year old. I know when Hunter was Jack's age we didn't think it was easy to go out, but now in relative terms, it's a piece of cake with just Jack. Cell phone quality pictures...me and my baby before our food arrived :) He probably loved having all of the attention on him for an hour!
Making funny faces after drinking some cold ice water
He was being silly and trying to eat his food like a dog I guess! Fruit and grilled cheese
Notice the shoes...

It's not even like they look the same...One is white and the other is blue! haha. I give Nick and A for effort and was so happy to go to lunch with my favorite boys. We had a nice chat about our upcoming trip to Disney in March. We are so excited to take the kids there and Hunter has been saying "I'm going to get to see Mickey Mouse and the castle in March!" every time he watches Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. It's going to be one of those trips when you come home exhausted, but the kids will have a blast I'm sure! We are also going to visit my Grandpa Ron for a day hopefully...he had a stroke a while back and he's never even met Jack. He hasn't seen Hunter since his first birthday party, so we are super excited to try and see him too while down in FL.
Christmas pictures coming soon!

The cutest face

I have so many pictures from Christmas Eve and Day (about 350), so I need to get them organized. We had a wonderful day and the kids got WAY TOO much stuff. Nana said she cut her budget in half from last year and it was still a lot! I think it took like two hours to open gifts and then we still had more later. They are lucky boys and so are we. Nick got a nice new big tv for our bedroom from my parents and I have a funny story about that for later :) Until I get organized here are some other pictures of my cutie pie!

Jack is on the move and it seems I only take good pictures of him when he's trapped in his highchair. Plus, he just makes the funniest faces and I can't resist pulling out the camera!

This is one of my new favorites...such a cutie pie!

He was eating fruit and fruit dip (cool whip with yogurt) and making quite a mess.

Doesn't he just look like he's trouble?

Christmas with Hoppy & Mimi

Sunday afternoon Hoppy & Mimi came over. We were originally going to celebrate closer to Christmas, but then rescheduled b/c of my surgery. Now that's cancelled, but didn't know I'd for sure be cancelling when we changed plans. Oh well! We had a fun time and the kids got some really cute new clothes.

Me and my sweetie pie. I love this sweater on him--it was Hunter's and it's one of my favorites :)
We were all acting silly and banging our hands on the table. Both kids found this absolutely hysterical. I just love the pictures of Jack laughing like a crazy boy!
Having so much fun!
We had a yummy dinner at our house and they brought a delicious cheesecake type thing for dessert.

He looks so weird here, but it made me laugh!

Christmas with Gammy Dori and Big D

Gammy Dori and Big D came Saturday and stayed the night to celebrate Christmas. They have lots of family to see when they came down to the area, so it was nice to get to spend a lot of time with them. It's so funny how kids go through phases and Hunter just loves Big D right now. He loves everyone in his family, but he just constantly wants to play with him and know where he is when he's at our house. It's so cute and they have a lot of fun together!

Hunter was playing musical chairs at dinner and mostly wanted to be on Big D's lap while we ate. He handled it well as I'm sure he wasn't thrilled to have a wiggly 3 year old on his lap while he ate! We had some yummy steaks, asparagus, fruit with dip, and bread. Not your traditional Christmas dinner, but it was delicious! Nick did everything (I did the fruit/dip)...but I cleaned up.
Back on Big D's lap again at breakfast. We need to train that kid to stay in his chair, but sometimes we'll do anything if it means he'll eat his food.
Taking a turn on Gammy's lap making monkey faces

This baby did not want his picture with me before bed!
I didn't take many pictures when we opened gifts b/c I was too busy keeping up with the kids. Jack makes a mad dash for the stairs every chance he gets and drives me insane!
