Saturday fun...

Saturday was a beautiful day, but HOT! We had to go to Meijer to pick up some things for later in the day, so we took the boys to the park first to wear Hunter out in order to make our trip to Meijer easier.
My two boys on the swings together

Jack had fun hanging out in the swing, but was more interested in watching Hunter
Hunter is so brave--daddy was pushing him super high! I was freaked out, but kept my mouth shut and didn't ruin their fun :)

Hunter climbed all the way up this rock wall. I can't believe he can climb up this, but hasn't managed to figure out how to climb out of his crib yet!

Daddy joined in on the fun too

After nap time we went out to the lake with Matt & Jacquelyn. We went on a pontoon boat ride and then to Zukey's for dinner. I told myself I'd take a lot of pictures and then I didn't! Above is Jacquelyn with Hunter...watching daddy getting the tube ready.

I am SO proud of Hunter for going tubing! I wasn't sure if he'd go, but as soon as Nick got in, he wanted to go with him. They went for a pretty long ride and had lots of fun. We didn't go fast, but we wanted his first experience to be a good one so that he'd go again.

I can't believe my baby is getting so big and doing such "big boy" things. Before we know it he'll be learning to water ski!

Now you have to believe me...

If you didn't believe me before when I told you Hunter is crazy, now you will. We brought the sandbox and frog pool onto the deck on Thursday after we came home from Hunter's haircut. It was really hot and the hose water was really cold. Hunter took all his clothes off and was acting crazy with the water. I tried to filter the pictures so there are no shots that will totally embarrass him when he's older!

Nick took this with his cell phone and I think it's the best..about to make a big splash!

He would lean down, dip his rear in the cold water, and jump out!

Then he'd take a gulp of water and run to the edge of the deck and spit it over the edge...all boy!

Dancing like a fool

We love him crazy or not...
Dipping his face down in the water...

"This water is cold!!"

Our "normal" baby...Do you think I will have my hands full once this one is mobile? I think so!

Out to the lake with Nana & Grandpa

Last Sunday we went out to the lake after naptime to go to Zukey's on the boat with Nana and Grandpa. It was hot! I figured I better post this asap before another weekend goes by...We are looking forward to the long weekend this weekend!

Hunter helping Grandpa drive the boat. He was more interested in honking the super loud horn
Jack's first time driving the boat :)

Hunter was crazy jumping around and acting silly

Jack was happy most of the time hanging out in his carseat

The water was still pretty cold, but Hunter dipped his feet in

Grandpa has a nice tan and Baby Jack is white as can be!

Finger painting with pudding

Sunday morning Jack took a really long nap so we had some quality time on the deck with Hunter. We decided to finger paint with chocolate pudding. Hunter obviously had more fun eating the pudding than painting with it. Even Chopper got a taste!

Hmmm...this is good!

Daddy thought it would be funny to smear it on Hunter's face. He did not find it amusing.

Chopper had fun trying to get a few licks of pudding :)

Hunter does not like to get messy, so he did better than expected with this project. Nick and I are not creative at all, so we are trying to foster a little creativity in this child...

Visit from Gammy Dori--warning--it's a long one!

Nick went to Arizona for a few days, so his mom came Friday evening to help me with the kids for the weekend. I can manage on my own, but it was nice to have the company and an extra set of hands to help go do fun things with the kids. Friday night we went to Qdoba (per Hunter's request) and got ice cream. Saturday we got up and went to the Toledo Zoo. It rained on our drive down there and on the way back, but it didn't rain while we were at the zoo--we got lucky. Saturday night we gave the kids baths and just relaxed! It was a tiring day, but lots of fun. Nick got home late Saturday night and we all ate breakfast on Sunday before she left. Thanks again, Dori, for helping out...we all had a great time!! I am going to have to talk to Dori about changing the date on her camera as you can see some of the pics say 2003!!

Hunter's favorite part of the zoo was going on the train ride...

Mommy and Baby Jack on the train rideI don't know why, but I just love this picture...

Baby giraffe and termite mountain that we saw on the train ride

I love my Hunter!

Hunter had fun playing in this egg

Gammy Dori and Hunter...they had a fun playground area. Dori got to take a break while Jack napped in his stroller. I chased Hunter around for a bit b/c he asked over 10 times to go to the playground once he saw it. Finally we just gave in!

He had fun playing in this little area for kids where they could get their feet wet

After we got back from the zoo we just hung out around the house before bedtime

Hunter and Gammy made a really long train

We wore Baby Jack out at the zoo :)

Typical boy...I ask him if he has to go potty and he says no...I am not sure what to do about this. I've also been working on him telling him he can keep it a secret when he toots, burps, or has other boy things happening down there. We have to stop him from announcing every bodily function before he starts pre-school...I don't want my boy to be that boy.
