Muskegon--Part 2

We went to a WW2 museum that had some cool stuff and the submarine you could take a tour through. Then we headed to the beach...lots of fun!
Jack took his put-putting very seriously.

Only picture I could get of the two of them together. Nice cheesy smile Hunter :)

It was the day of the first UM game, so my boys were dressed ready to support their team! They are so handsome :)
 Submarine from the outside
It was so small in there! I could not handle sleeping there....yikes!

They had these tiny rooms that slept SO many people...Ahhhh....that would have been horrible!
The kids felt the need to test out the beds in each room.

I threw this picture in b/c they had all you can eat mac and cheese one night and Jack was in HEAVEN. The child could live on that and tomato soup if I let him.
Ready to go home...a few days with no naps is no good for this one.

Muskegon Trip--Part 1

We went to Muskegon for Labor Day Weekend. We stayed in a hotel for three nights--went to Michigan's Adventure two days and then to the beach...got some other fun stuff in too like put-put, go-karts, ice cream, etc. It was a fun weekend!! And since we were taking Hunter to Cedar Point for his birthday, this was a good way to get him ready for that!

There were a few kiddie roller coasters Jack could do. He was so cute--he said "Mama, that was kinda scary, but I want to do it again and again!!"

Ready for his first roller coaster!
Second time getting brave with his hands up!
Hunter and I went on all the roller coasters and dizzy rides he could handle

Hunter thought he was way too cool for this.
Daddy's bumper car didn't work and he had to sit in the corner and pout...it was hilarious.
Waiting in line to do a roller coaster together.

I didn't have my camera for the water park, but that was a lot of fun too. We split up a lot b/c most of the stuff Hunter wanted to do, Jack was not tall enough for, but it worked out ok. Both kids had fun and we had to do the "divide and conquer" method.

Fun at the Fowlerville Fair

I really need to stop neglecting my blog b/c I have tons of fun pictures to post! Anyway, Saturday was not a very nice day, but we ventured up to the FF for some fun, monster truck show, and excellent people watching. It was my first monster truck show, as well as the kids, and they had a great time, despite some off and on rain and COLD. Our kids are fair ride junkies. Nick is a baby and hates anything that spins. I actually like rides, but the filth, weirdos working, and scariness in thinking about them putting the rides together makes me nervous...but having young kids, I've had to get over it and roll with it. The best was the guy doing the ride below. He was huge and had a even bigger wad of chew in his mouth and all over his tongue. I think he called me "honey" and "baby". Classy! We went with Joe, Heather and Tyler...and met up with a few other people there too...it was fun!
Ok, Hunter is nuts. I went on it the first time with him. I was scared...it kept going up and up and up...and then shoots you down super fast. I fully expected Hunter to cry, but he insisted we do it...ahhh...I must love this child. He loved it. I did not. Then he went two more times by himself! And what's crazy if you have to be 48 inches tall. He is just that and only 5, where he's about as tall as a 7 year old (he wears 7 pants). My point is he is likely one of the youngest riders ever to go on this. haha. The look on his face coming down is priceless, but then he's all smiles. He's like "that feeling in my stomach kind of hurts, but it feels good at the same time"....too funny.
It was kind of raining and he was almost alone on the ride
Monster truck show...it was loud and fun. I was freezing though!

Telling cousin Joey some jokes :)

A little bit of catch up

Grandpa had this out at the lake and took Hunter for a ride :)
Hunter and Tyler fishing at Rhonda's. Those two are scary with hooks, worms, and casting.
Hunter's Kindergarten graduation...they went up on stage and sung the cutest song!

Jack with Big D (nick's stepdad). They came to visit this weekend for Nick's birthday :)

We had some family and friends over for a bbq on Saturday to celebrate Nick's birthday. Being the good wife that I am, I got him a UM helmet signed by Lloyd Carr. I also got him a new belt and some Bose quiet headphones which I am already regretting...I can't get his attention for anything unless I hit him or throw something at him. They really do work!

GLTW year end party

The kids got out of school last Thursday and Friday night they had a 25 year celebration at their school which was also their year-end party. The kids had a great time!
Hunter and his bff, Aruis. They are both staying at GLTW next year, but I'm guessing teachers will split them into different classrooms!
Hunter is willing to try anything and everything! I was so proud of him for trying this. It was hard, but he did pretty well for only being five years old!
The kids next to him were all 2nd and 3rd graders.
He was SO excited about this. He was doing tons of flips and having a great time!!

 No fear!
Jack getting ready for his turn :)
Jack was probably under the weight limit and with the bands, his toes barely touched the trampoline, but the volunteer was super nice and kept giving him a sling shot back up into the air. He loved it too!

One full week of school off under our belts. They have been to the pool, splash pad, Jungle Java (twice!), Domino's Petting Farm, and more! Lucky kiddos fully enjoying summer so far. We have summer camps, vacation bible school, and much more later this summer too :)

A few funny things...

Hunter went to a cowboy themed birthday party last weekend at Domino's Petting Farm and got a bandanna. Nick tied it on like this and both kids wanted to take turns...I wasn't sure I would be able to get it back from them, but they gave it up.

Silly Jack...no pants, soccer jersey, and his bandanna...and his new face he insists on making while I take his picture. Not cool.
Our tough little man--he LOVES flag football!

Yes, the face again...ahhhhhh. Thanks to Hunter for teaching him that.
My three boys hanging out before bed on Sunday night. Notice Jack making the face again.
 hahahaha.
Last night Hunter had three of his little neighborhood friends over to play bball. Later when he was getting ready for bed I said, "You are pretty lucky to have so many boys that are neighbors". He said he was so glad they weren't all girls. I asked why. He said "because girls are boring. They would just want to hang out and do dumb stuff all day." Whatever you say kiddo, but I don't think so! I don't know where he comes up with this stuff!!
