Hunter's flag football game

Hunter had his first flag football game yesterday...It was during Jack's nap time, so Nick took Hunter. They practice 45 minutes before the game and then play. Nick said it was pretty much a mess...Hunter did score two touchdowns and his team won, so that's pretty exciting!!

 Practicing his plays...
I think his daddy is loving this--his 5 year old following in his footsteps--ha!

lots of changes!

So much has been going on at work, so no time for blogging! We moved our office location across town. It's smaller space, but I still have a nice office. It is all taking some getting used to, but hopefully I will survive. I have anxiety over all the change!
I'm so glad the weather is getting nicer--can't wait to go out to the lake!! My parents got a new pontoon boat and it will be a super fun summer. Hunter is going to LOVE tubing with this new boat that goes way faster. The pool opens in about 29 days too, so can't wait...and only about 6 weeks of school left.
Anyway, to cope with my stress, I made the executive decision that some retail therapy was in order. On top of it, I had a good month at work, so I should reward myself, don't you agree? Nick would not agree, but who cares. I got some new shoes, a new watch, and new sunglasses. It did make me feel better...I guess that means I'm superficial per the saying below? ha. Who doesn't feel better about themselves in a new outfit or something nice that they bought for themselves? hahaha. I'm half kidding.

Update with iphone pics

My sister pointed out that since I finally caved and joined FB, I have neglected my blog...it's true! I want to keep this up b/c my Mother's Day gift each year is having the year printed into a huge book. I like to journal here for the kids...and it's so fun to look back at!
The other night my dad came for dinner. The kids were off the wall. They were really excited to go to the dentist that afternoon and so happy grandpa was coming...they were beating him up, so he got the hard hat for protection.
They have this light sabers (they call life savers) that they like to sword fight with. Thanks Star Wars.
Hanging out in the theater room :)
I am getting brave...I went to the eye dr and decided to try some new glasses. I rarely wear glasses, but maybe I will now that I have some fun ones!
From the front they aren't as crazy! I love how you can see the hint of pink at different angles though.
New shoes!! I ordered them as a "treat" since I had a great month at work :) I heart pink (and shoes).
Jack finally moved to a big kid soccer class. He was loving the parent/child class and it really was time to be done with that. He did ok for the first time, but kept running over to the side to see me.
The coach is hilarious. He sounds like he smokes a lot of pot--he's so funny, hippy-ish, etc. I am not sure if it's more fun for the kids or the parents. He is actually wonderful with the kids and that's all that matters :)
Hunter got to bring a friend to soccer last night. Alex from down the street came--he's 7 and in 2nd grade. They had SO much fun. The coach loved Alex so much and said he could come back any time to visit for free! Alex scored several goals and I think Hunter scored 1 or 2.
Last year, not much interest in the bike...this year his legs are long enough and it's much more fun!! I love his boots and coat :)

Iphone photo dump--Disney cruise

I think these are the last of the Disney pics. I am too lazy to organize them....all from our phones :)
Breakfast in bed...it was Magic Kingdom day and we were up early! Jack loved waking up and eating right away!
Hunter loved the water slide. I think one day he and his little friend Lief went down it 20+ times.
Ice cream 24/7. The kids loved it! Jack is the slowest eater on Earth, so he was a mess every time.
Hunter and his friend Leif. They had so much fun in the kids club, pool, etc. Too bad they met half way through the trip. Their family was from Rhode Island I think.
Captain Jack hair?
Boys with our dinner friends--Alex :)

Sleeping on the plane on the way home...
Bacon anyone??
Tired kiddo on the way home...

Panoramic view of beach in Bahamas
Love his smile!!

Pirate night...

Disney Cruise--Day 7 and 8

Day 7 we stopped in Key West. I don't really know why they have a stop there on a cruise--there is nothing for kids. We went to the Key West Aquarium and then got back on the ship. We walked around a little bit, but it was hot and again, nothing for kids. We went when we were about 23 for a college friend's wedding and had a blast--that is a whole other story!

Cool shark!

They had this open area with about 15 sharks in it and you can see Jack leaning in. It was a little scary as the mom. I suppose they don't eat kids, but it still freaked me out. They also had sting rays you could touch, turtles, iguanas, python, and more. It was nothing like at the Toledo Zoo, but still neat for the kids!
Jack ran into Goofy randomly in the hall one night after dinner.
Our stateroom cleaner, Elsa, was AWESOME. She was super nice, made us some fun towel animals, and I gave her an extra nice tip for having to change wet sheets from the kids a few extra times.
Evandro and Marcus being silly with the kids the last night at dinner. Hunter was not there...he had so much fun at the kids club the last day he stayed there and had pizza with his friends instead.
The last day we were at sea the whole day and it was COLD. We were depressed not having our last day in the sun. The best part was getting both kids in the kids club for a few hours. Nick and I had all you can eat crab legs for lunch together and had two hours of peace. As we were walking out of lunch we got a text that Jack wanted to be picked up--good timing!
