Cousin's Party--Buddy's, Bocci, and Beer!

Last Saturday night we went to the original Buddy's pizza in Detroit for a cousin's party. There were about 20 of us there and we had a great time! The pizza was good, bocci ball was fun, and our family is just plain fun to hang out with. I was on the same side of the court as my cousin Brad...he had a little too much beer and could.not.remember. who is partner was the entire night. It was pretty hilarious. We have so much family in the area and seeing each other once a year at the family reunion is just not enough! We do the hockey thing around Christmas, so that is fun too, but these types of things are super fun--out doing something and beer of course.

Last weekend we got out the kid's table, kid pool, etc. and since it was something "new" to play with the kids were entertained for ours.

We filled up the pool with hose water and then dumped buckets of hot water in it to warm it up some.

Sunday at the lake

Since my parents won't be going to Grand Haven as much this summer, it will be nice to go out to the lake with them more than other summers! I feel sorry for them, but am secretly happy they will be out at the lake more (their marina had a big fire and tons of smoke damage to their boat). 

We went out on Sunday after nap and football game...and Gigi came too :)

 Hunter fell off the tube two weeks ago and was a bit traumatized. He was crying out there with Nick and lasted all of two minutes. We'll have to come up with a new strategy for next weekend b/c we need to get him back out there tubing. Hey, half the reason they got a new boat was so Hunter could go faster tubing!

 Nick likes to say they are scared of my driving, but really we were going to Parker Mills to ride the bike path to Gallup Park.

 I took Hunter to ride the path from Parker Mills to Gallup Park--he rides his bike SO fast!!! He totally wore himself out, which is not easy to do. Pink cheeks and sweaty!! It may be our new hang out, except that two bikes barely fit in the car. Good exercise and good way to tire the kid with boundless energy...and close to home! 

Mother's Day...

I have lots of blogging catch up to do, so hopefully I'll be able to post every day this week--we'll see!

 I had a great Mother's Day. Nick took the kids out for three hours in the morning--I had some alone time in the house which was super nice and relaxing. Then we went to my mom's house...Gammy Dori, Big D, Gigi, Grandpa, Steve, Kathleen, Emily, and our family were there. It was COLD so we hung out in the house playing games and had dinner...Above is Jack with Nick's mom (Gammy Dori).

It was nice, but would have been better had the weather been nicer so we could play outside!
