Getting ready for Disneyworld!

We are going to Disneyworld in March and can't wait! Nick's firm has a rewards type conference there...his firm pays for 3 nights in our hotel and flights...yay Nick! We plan to extend the trip for a few days on top of that. He's very close to the top level and if he makes it to the very top I'm hoping for a Hawaii trip (no kids). I'm very excited about this either way and so are the kids. The last two years it's been in Arizona at a spa like resort, so we were thrilled to see it was at Disney this year now that our kids are old enough to have fun (at least Hunter). Saturday morning we decided to go to Great Lakes Crossing Mall to the Disney Store to get some tee-shirts, etc. for our trip. Nick ran into a friend with his little boy so we hung out with them and then checked out the mall before heading home. We got lots of tee-shirts ($6 versus probably $20 at the park). Nick surprisingly let Hunter and Jack get a stuffed animal too.
Hunter chose Buzz LightYear and he loves him! Buzz goes in the car with us and Hunter makes him meals at his table in the playroom, shows him how to do puzzles, watches tv with him, etc. It's so cute to watch.
Jack got Mickey Mouse, but he doesn't care much about him yet.
Hunter and I ran out Sunday afternoon to do a few errands...No nap, but fell asleep in the car later in the day...cuddling with Buzz and Mickey. We could be creating a monster with this wanting to take them everywhere.

I'm naughty and I know it

Jack has discovered he can feed the dog and finds this hilarious. I just love how he hands food to Chopper, gets his hand all slobbery, and then feeds himself--back and forth. I probably would have been more paranoid with Hunter, but the second time around, I let it go. So what if Chopper pukes up entire dirty diapers that we forgot to put in the genie and left sitting out? And wipes that he ate that were hanging out of the wipe box? And grass? Ok, now I'm starting to think I'm a bad mom. Here you go Chopper. That was fun!
Here's another bite.

This is the best game ever.

That is so funny...I'm naughty and I know it...can't you tell by the look on his face?

Random stuff---Basketball, PJ's, and Baths

Here's a little of what we've been up to...

It was my bad idea to bring the basketball thing out to the family room...way to much ball throwing going on outside of the playroom, especially by one 31 year old, who shall remain anonymous. Jack has learned to dunk though! Hunter being silly and making Jack mad by blocking the basket.
I know I'm biased, but aren't these boys handsome??!!

Hunter is pretty naughty these days, but at least he's cute. They are starting to play more and more all the time and I love it...and feel like I should be getting paid to referee part-time.

I was trying to get a picture of the kids in their coordinating pj's...they looked so cute. Hunter's pants match Jack's whole outfit. Now he's happy....
And now he's not....
Every once in a while the "boys" in the house do bath time in our bathroom...they turn on the jets and make lots of bubbles in the jacuzzi. I actually get so stressed watching them that I clean my closet and wait to hear Jack crying. They splash my curtains, stand up, fall down, and get soap in their eyes. My blood pressure is rising just thinking about it. It's fun for them, so I try to be a good sport.

Hands on Museum

Our family, along with what it seemed like every other family in town, went to the Hands On Museum on MLK Day. Nick and I both had the day off and decided to go for a couple of hours in the morning to have some "quality family fun" time together. It was super crowded! The kids had fun, but by 11:30am we were ready to head home. We have a membership and as long as we go about 3 times per year, it pays for itself.

Hunter made friends with these two brothers immediately and they built a huge "castle" with blocks. I kept waiting for someone to knock it over and there to be tears.
In this pre-school room they have a little area for little ones under 18 months. It was nice to keep Jack in there away from the many other bigger kids running around.
They have a water table that is always a huge hit with the kids!
They have all these foam blocks in a huge room which is also a big attraction.

We always head to the ambulance...Hunter was being so bossy telling us what to do and where to go. He wanted to drive and Jack and I were instructed to sit in the front so he could drive us "to the hopspital to fix our boo-boo's".
We had a nice long weekend with the kids (for the most part)! Nick and I went on a date on Saturday night for the first time in a couple of months, which was awesome. We went to PF Changs and then to see The Fighter. It was so fun to hang out together and just have a chance to talk without the stress of bringing a 3 year old out to a restaurant with us :) Plus we had gift cards for dinner and the movie, so that was a plus!

Sunday night fun

Sunday evening we invited the Duprey Family over so Mason and Hunter could play. I thought it would be fun to decorate cupcakes and hang out. The boys got along really well and had a good time, although Mason was more interested in Hunter's tools than cupcakes, but I can't blame him. Mason's dad texted us later to say that Mason told his parents he wanted to come live at our house--haha. Nick and I both had MLK Day off, so it was fun to do something on a Sunday night for once when normally it's baths and getting ready for school the next day!

Hunter likes to hug and Mason was a good sport about it :)Hunter kept saying, "I need to try this..." when it came to eating the candy meant for cupcakes. I think he had 1.5 cupcakes while we decorated. Mason decorated a few and Angela ended up doing the rest!
Friends...they warmed up to each other much faster this time than in the past...we played with tools, hide and seek, racing around the house, and more. Hunter slept until 8am the next morning so it was well worth it!

Out of the mouths of three year olds

Literally five minutes before typing this, Hunter came up to me, climbed in my lap and gave me a hug. He said, "Mommy, we are falling in love". I laughed and said, "We're already in love!".
He's so cute when he does stuff like this. However, less than an hour ago he yelled, "Mommy! You are driving me insane!!" I asked why and he said "because you stepped on my puzzle piece".
Geez. I wish I had time to write everything down that he said in a day that made me laugh, but I guess once in a while on here will have to do. I hope he appreciate it when he's older.

Jack's favorite high chair pastime

Click HERE to view a cute video of Jack. Be patient...it takes a second to load. He is nuts and loves so slam his head back and forth in his high chair. He is constantly entertaining us :)

This pictures just makes me laugh...he's laughing, has food in his mouth, a messy face, and a nice purple bruise on his forehead. And a new tooth coming in on the top that is completely crooked...I'm a little worried, but we'll see how it goes once it comes all the way in.

Jumping!

We went to the mall over the weekend and Hunter did the bungy jumping thing they have at Briarwood Mall. My mom and Gigi took him there a while back to do it and he didn't want to. A few days before Christmas at another mall he said he wanted to, but there was a long line and I didn't want to wait. So, this weekend, he finally did it. He had a lot of fun and didn't want to get off when his time was up. He didn't really get the concept of using his knees to jump, so the lady working there basically kept flinging him up into the air. I thought maybe he'd get scared being so high up, but he wasn't and kept saying "I'm high in the sky!"
Now I just have to have a plan for not spending $7 on this every time we go to the mall! It's right next to the smoothie place, so there is no avoiding it.
They do get really high up on this thing

Our goofy three year old

Grandpa and Nana came over Friday night...Nick had a late meeting and they were scheduled to come b/c I would have been recovering from surgery. They still came to keep me company and play with the boys. We had dinner, played, and watched Toy Story 2.
Pretending to sleep...anything to get Hunter to sit still for three seconds.
He put the basketball in his tummy and found this hilarious. Probably b/c we did too. I said "oh you have a baby in your belly". He was like "No, I have a BOOB!!!". Then he wanted to put it in my shirt to say I had three boobs. I don't think so, but at least the kid can add.
He's so silly...he was so wound up with all the excitement.
He and grandpa were being very silly...he was hitting grandpa's belly super hard and my dad kept yelling that it was made of steel. The next day he said "Grandpa's belly is big. Because he drinks a lot of beer." No joke.

Saturday Nick and Hunter went sledding. I made him hot chocolate in a mug that was mine when I was a kid. He was so cute sipping it.

Jack--sleeping, giving kisses and a big bump :)

Jack fell asleep in the car and just looks so adorable. I had to go get Hunter from school and he stayed asleep while I got him out of the car and took him into school. He finally woke up after a while, but it was cute that he didn't wake up during all the commotion and snow hitting his face as we walked into school. I also love how the binkie is jammed into his cheek.

Last night Jack was playing in the pantry while I was getting dinner ready...the step stool ladder thingy fell on his head. He only cried for a few seconds and then about 30 minutes later I noticed this huge bump on his head...he has a bruise and it's still pretty swollen. Poor guy. The picture barely does it justice b/c it looked really bad.

Click HERE to see this cute video of Jack giving me kisses. He likes to kiss me the most and I love it! Don't mind my nasal voice--I'm fighting a cold.
